Why the name change? Well, aside from the Gmail alerts, the Google Notifier also integrates alerts from your Google Calendar. Awesome, right? Strange that Google hasn't released a Windows version, but I suppose it's only a matter of time. I can attest to the Google Notifier looking and working great on a Mac. — Adam Pash
